Isanavarman II<\/strong> is a king who ruled the Khmer Empire, from 925 to 928, just after king Harshavarman<\/a>. His reign is less documented than that of other Khmer monarchs, leaving many aspects of his life and reign in the shadows. However, he is generally credited with contributing to the stability and development of the empire during his reign.<\/p>\n

Isanavarman II was a fervent follower of Hinduism, and under his reign, this religion continued to flourish in the region, with the construction of temples and the promotion of Hindu religious practices. He also played a role in maintaining peace and order in the empire, although his reign was marked by challenges, including internal tensions and external threats.<\/p>\n

After his death, Isanavarman II was succeeded by his son, Jayavarman VII, who is often regarded as one of the greatest kings of the Khmer Empire and who brought about significant changes, including the adoption of Mahayana Buddhism as the state religion.<\/p>\n

Despite the lack of detailed documentation on Isanavarman II, his reign remains an important part of the history of the Khmer Empire, contributing to the cultural and historical richness of the region that continues to intrigue scholars and visitors from all over the world.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
